Big Shots. Grosse Tiere

Most of the shown works are portraits of street dogs.
After the dogs have been living in dog shelters for a short or a long period of time some of them found a new owner, others, unadoptable, have been killed to make place for other dogs.

On the canvas they become protagonists – big shots – step out of the anonymous shadowy existence into an imaginary limelight.
Thanks to their famous names they move into the focus of our perception.
By the confrontation of the painting and the title the artist leaves an associative-personal interpretation to the observer.
